Hadith of the Week
Al-Habib Umar bin Hafiz | Niagara Falls 2011
Jabir ibn Abdullah رضي الله عنهم reported: The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said, “Every good deed is charity. Verily, it is a good deed to meet your brother with a cheerful face, and to pour what is left from your bucket into the vessel of your brother.” [At-Tirmidhi]

Quote of the Week
“To move hearts your heart has to be moved. How can I expect the words I chant to impact others if they aren’t impacting me? Signing Nasheed shouldn’t be a job, it should be an expression of ones way of life. Otherwise no benefit comes out of it.”
- Abu Mahmoud Al Muslimani [renowned Inshad singer].

The Qur'an
The Quran is the greatest blessing of Allah which he has bestowed upon mankind. There are 114 Surah in the Quran and each Surah is a light that alters our lives and shows us the right way to live.
Surah Mulk is at the beginning of the 29th Juz and is the 67th surah in the Quran.
Anas ibn Malik reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “There is a chapter in the Quran, not but thirty verses, which will argue on behalf of its companion until he enters Paradise. It is the chapter: Blessed is He in whose hand is the dominion.” (67:1) Source: Sunan Abī Dāwūd 1400

Friday Reflections

JUMU’A REFLECTION: THE JOURNEY’S END
Your Journey’s End
There is a place
A wondrous space
Your journey’s end
To meet the Friend
If you should ask:
“How hard the task?”
Not hard, they say
But don’t delay
If you should say,
“Please show the way”
Or, “Where O where –
Do take me there!”
It’s not for me
You must agree
To find your heart
Or play your part
It’s up to you
To journey true
Look in, not out
Be firm, don’t doubt
A step, arrive
Your heart revive
The Friend’s in wait
Walk through His gate
Your heart He owns
Give up your throne
Don’t be a fool
It’s His to rule
De-throne your self
And claim yourself
And then you’ll see
What’s meant to be
Within His care
Who else is there?
Within His care
What else is there?
What else is there
Within his care?
To Him converse
In prose and verse
You’re here but not
So ends your plot
Your journey’s end
You’ve found the Friend
