Mufti Hussain Kamani

Mufti Hussain Kamani memorized the Qur’an as a child before traveling to England, where he completed the seven-year Alimiyyah program and specialized in ifta. During his studies, he studied Sahih al-Bukhari and other works directly under Shaykh al-Hadith Mawlana Yusuf Motala, whose teaching and companionship deeply influenced his scholarship.
For more than twenty years, Mufti Kamani has served as an imam and teacher of Hadith, Fiqh, and Tazkiyah. He served as senior faculty and played a central role in shaping the Qalam Seminary, later leading it as its Director. He also taught at Darul Qasim during his years in Chicago.
He has trained thousands of students, many of whom now serve their communities as imams, chaplains, and educators across the country. He is the former Resident Scholar at Masjid Al Rahman in Dallas and travels regularly to teach and lecture at masajid and conferences nationwide.
His work today is focused on writing and scholarship, with a continued commitment to the classical tradition and to helping future generations think clearly within it.
