Mufti Hussain Kamani

Mufti Hussain Kamani was born and raised in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. Mufti Hussain Kamani underwent a journey of a lifetime in pursuit of sacred Islamic knowledge. He began his pursuit of the Islamic sciences at the young age of six to memorize the entire Quran at the acclaimed Darul Uloom Madania in Buffalo, New York.

Having the growing thirst to quench more knowledge, Mufti Hussain Kamani then traveled across the world to the United Kingdom to attain more advanced formal Islamic authorizations in the field of Islamic theology. He studied at Darul Uloom Bury, the renowned seminary of the great revivalist and scholar of Hadith, Shaykh-ul-Hadith Zakariyya Kandhlawi (Rahmatullahi Alayh). Mufti Kamani completed the traditional six-year curriculum under the guidance of some of the pioneer scholars in England, including Shaykh Yusuf Motala, Shaykh Hashim, Shaykh Bilal and Shaykh Abdur Raheem bin Dawood amongst others.

Afterwards, he was selected for a post-graduate level course in Islamic Law and Legal Verdicts, which he completed and received formal authorization within two years. He later earned his graduate degree in Business Management & Strategy from the University of Coventry in the UK. Mufti Kamani currently resides in Dallas, TX with his family, he has served as an Imam and teacher for over 10 years in different communities around the country.

Shaykha Zehra Hazratji

Shaykha Zehra Hazratji has been a student of Shaykh Mokhtar for many years. She spent several years in Egypt studying advanced Arabic, Qur’anic and Hadith sciences, logic, and other Islamic disciplines, and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Shari‘a from Al-Azhar University. She also has a Master’s degree in Islamic Studies with a specialization in Contemporary Fiqh from Hamad Bin Khalifa University. Her research interests include Islamic legal theory, contemporary fiqh issues, and women in Islam. She is a hafiẓa of the Qur’an and holds an ijaza in the recitation of Hafs ‘an ‘Asim from Shaykh Al-Kurdi in Damascus, Syria.

Ustadh Said Elkatta

Ustadh Said Elkatta has studied closely with Shaykh Yasir Fahmy of Prophetic Living, worked and studied with Shaykh Dr. Basyouny Nehela at The Boston Islamic Seminary, and was an active volunteer with Muslim community and youth organizations. Since 2017, he has been continuing his studies in various Islamic sciences with Shaykh Mokhtar and other Shuyukh and has also worked as a teaching assistant for the teachers in the Suhba Seminary, where he continues to study.

Shaykh Raees Osman Gani

In 2019, Shaykh Raees travelled to Istanbul and joined the Suhba Program. While continuing his mentoring with Shaykh Mokhtar Maghraoui, he completed a five-year Islamic studies program under Shaykh Nader Abu Umar, Shaykh Mujeer Al Khatib, Shaykh Khalid al-Kharsa and others.

Shaykh Raees is now living in South Africa where he heads a Seminary Suhba Hub in Johannesburg and Pretoria.
